Say something is too much (すぎる)
Attach すぎる to a verb stem or drop the final い/な from an adjective to say that an action was done too much or a quality is excessive.

Excessive degree: too much / over-
The helper verb すぎる (sugiru) means 'to exceed'. It attaches to stems to express an undesirable excess:
1. Verbs (ます-stem (masu-stem)): - 食べます (eat) → 食べすぎました (ate too much) - 飲みます (drink) → 飲みすぎました (drank too much) 2. **い-adjectives** (drop い (i)): - 高い (expensive) → 高すぎます (too expensive) - 熱い (hot) → 熱すぎます (too hot) 3. **な-adjectives** (drop な (na)): - 静か (quiet) → 静かすぎます (too quiet)
It conjugates as an Ichidan verb: 〜すぎます (sugimasu), 〜すぎた (sugita), 〜すぎない (suginai).
