How it works

は (topic) raises the topic (おすすめ (recommendation)) — “as for the recommendation…”. The question word 何なん (what) fills the slot you’re asking about, the polite です (is) ties it together, and the final か (question) marks the whole thing as a question. Japanese keeps the word order of a statement and just adds か (question) at the end instead of flipping the words around like English does.
