How it works

を (object) marks what the action lands on (窓まど (window)), and the object comes before the verb — Japanese puts the verb at the very end. The verb 開けるあける (open) shifts into its て (te-form) form, 開けてあけて (open). On its own, te-form works as a soft, casual request — like saying “open the window” to a friend, with the polite ください (please) dropped.
