Do something after finishing an action (〜てから)
Attach から to the て-form of a verb to emphasize that an action happens only after another is finished: “after eating, let's brush our teeth”.
JLPTN5
verb (て-form) + からverb (te-form) + kara
When you simply connect actions in a timeline, the plain て-form (食べて、寝ます) works well. Adding から (食べてから、寝ます) sharpens the timeline into a strict chronological sequence: the second action cannot or does not happen until the first action is fully completed. Unlike 後で (ato de), which can refer to a vague later point in time, 〜てから directly links the prerequisite action to the one that follows.
