Attach かもしれない to the plain form of a verb or い-adjective — dictionary or た form (降るかもしれない, 高かったかもしれない). After a noun or な-adjective it attaches directly, with no だ: 雨かもしれない, 静かかもしれない. It is softer and more tentative than だろう, and it does not commit the speaker to any particular outcome. In casual speech the ending is often shortened to かも.
