How it works

The i-adjective 広いひろい (big) sits directly in front of the noun it describes (町まち (town)) — no linking word needed, the same way English says “big town”. There's no copula at all; the sentence just trails off after the noun. The final ね (right?) turns it from a flat statement into a shared reaction — “it's big, isn't it!” — inviting the listener to agree.
