How it works

Add 〜たい (want to) to a verb stem to say you want to do something: 食べる(たべる) (eat) becomes 食べたい(たべたい) (want to eat). In casual speech the object particle を (object) is dropped, so アイス (ice cream) sits bare before the verb.
