How it works

Japanese builds big numbers in blocks of ten-thousand, so 一万(いちまん) (ten thousand) is literally 一(いち) (one) ten-thousand. The counter 円(えん) (yen) attaches directly to the number with no particle in between, and the ！ (!) marks it as an excited exclamation rather than a calm statement.
