Here 好きすき (like) works like an adjective, not a verb — Japanese treats liking something as a state. The thing you like is marked with が (subject), not the object particle, so この国このくに (this country) is grammatically the subject: literally “this country is likeable (to me).” There is no copula です (is) on the end, so it sounds plain and personal.
