Say who you do something with

と has two jobs, and what stands around it tells you which. Between two nouns it is “and”: つくえと いす, desk and chair. After a person and before a verb it is “with”: コンくんと いきます, I go with Kon; ともだちと たべます, I eat with a friend.

The person with と stands before the verb, usually after time and place: あした こうえんで ゆきさんと あそびます. To ask who someone does something with, the question word is だれと: だれと いきますか — the answer takes the same と.
